Before the game started, I predicted a Villa win and I thoroughly thought that we would win 1:2 but alas, we didn’t.
THE STARTING 11
Once again, the starting 11 was the best choice of the bunch and it really added to what is starting to look like a growing team.
The introduction of Joe Cole over N’Zogbia was a fantastic choice, and Lambert should be applauded for that decision, even though it has taken so long to get to it. Joe Cole added a new dimension to that game as he showed creativity, good choice of passing, control on the ball and most importantly, he scored. Not the greatest goal in the world, but it was a tough goal and it was he who scored it. From this match alone, it looks as if he has earned himself a starting place in the match 11 and nobody should disagree with that. I was slightly mythed as to why Lambert took him off in the 70th minute, but I can only assume it was due to match fitness. Either way, Lambert did something I never thought I would see and that was make a good substitution. He swapped Cole for Grealish and like Cole, Grealish showed a natural ability on the ball. he was very confident, passed well, pressed well and I still think given the right chances, Grealish will go on to be a huge player with massive ability.
After last week, I really thought that Wiemann would be swapped for young Robinson, maybe not to start but at some point during the game. This is when Lambert showed his true substitute colours again and instead brought Richardson on. Maybe I am biased here and you all think this was the best substitution for the team, but we will talk about that later on.
THE GAME
I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but would be writing this drunk had the last 10 minutes not occurred. The first half was well thought by both sides with a lot of chances going either way and in all honesty, it could easily have been 2 nil us, 2 nil them but could have been is not doing and we was the team who went into the 2nd half leading with a Joe Cole goal.
We built on our previous performance against Southampton and managed to look like the team we all witnessed at the beginning of the season. We attacked, and not just counter attacking, it was creativity and well worked attacking. I remember thinking that this game would have been ideal for Benteke because it complimented his abilities in every manner and if the style and passion is continued, his return should be something of a marvel. But lets not get a head of ourselves.
Burnley played well and looked dangerous whenever they attacked. You have to give extra credit to Ings (who I wish we would have signed) because he is great to watch and even better to have on your team sheet. Not only did he score the penalty, he also had an individual moment straight after that hit the post but should have been one of the highlights of his scoring career. It was simple and beautiful football that didn’t quite make it. So let’s talk about that penalty…
Our defence had a really good game for the most part, but I think they should from here on out be known as the Aston Stranglers as on more than one occassion, Clark had his hands/arm around a players throat, Hutton followed suit as did Cissokho and then Okore went against the grain and took a standard kick at the legs allowing Burnley a penatly and the draw to be conceded. It should not have happened, but it did.
VERDICT
There are a lot of positives to take from this game if we look beyond the penalty.
- Firstly, even though we only scored one goal, we found our attacking form and looked as though we could score during any given opportunity.
- Joe Cole is a great player and will go on to have a key role in our team (provided he stays fit and healthy)
- Clark and Okore are great players and work well together which shows that we can rotate our CB’s
- Grealish is still a confident and great player
- A draw does not give Lamber immunity to being sacked
- Benteke returns next week
The bad?
- Cissokho still can’t cross a ball.
- Wiemann and Gabby played and attacked a lot better but still need to convert more
- We lack a lot of proven choice on the bench (Youngsters not included here)
- **EDIT** Richardson being put on for Wiemann was a slap in the face. Wiemann played well today and I thought it was Gabby who should have been replaced and not by Richardson, who I feel has no part in this team. It was the time of Robinson. One striker off, one on. Show the attacking intent and not the settling of the draw.
We still came away from the game with a point which is more than most of you thought we was going to get and credit to the 4000 Villains that made their way up north. I wanted a win, but the draw is good enough especially if we can continue to build on this fresh energy. With Benteke back next week, I hope it see more goals, but not just from the giant, I want all round goals from other strikers and the midfield. Even though he may seem like our best shot, I do not want an Aston Villa team built up around one player, because it is bad for the rest of the team and even worse for the future if said player decides to leave and we cash in.
Whilst on the subject of cashing in, I hope Vlaar does go in the winter, because I do not like the lack of confirmation or dedication from not just him but any player. We are proving that our other centre backs are not just capable of stepping up but also show dedication to the team. He will be a loss, but i’d rather lose him now and get some cash than have him not sign a contract and leave on a free.
LAMBERT OUT and I still think we will win against Palace.UTV.
well done lads!!! 3 unbeaten! against 2 x top 4 teams, 1 x inform Burnley (away). all without 3 x CBs, both main strikers out and our best MF out injured!
its disgraceful that we just cant seem to lose with all those injuries and suspensions.
Cole and Hutton excellent and Benteke back on Tuesday.
COYL
Are you lamberks dad ffs
I’m watching you Dean.
yes!! my son is doing an excellent job. thats why Randy trusts him to spend his massive transfer budget wisely. He fully deserved the new 4 year contract he was given. well done my son.
Lambert IN!!!
Good to see the 4,000 away fans chanting ‘we want Lambert out’ at the end.
He says we have to ‘find a solution’, it seems pretty obvious what the solution is, to sack him would solve a hell of alot of problems!!
Lambert OUT.
Sadly that’s his new saying other than we go again. We need to find a solution, seems to be his favorite new phrase after every failure because of him.
Once the away fans call for your head that’s usually it look what happened with mcclown
Agreed. But they called for his head last season away at Palace and he is still here.
The bloke makes me sick.
Surely this can’t be allowed to go on much longer even lerner wouldn’t want us relegated as it would cost too much financially. Having said that we would only end up with someone like pullis who might keep us up but that’s it. I’d rather go down in all honesty
Yeah but they called for Lambert too. I just hope Lerner doesn’t take the advice of Villa fans again. His own man, Houllier (and I guess McLeish) or Villa fans, Lambert.I’d take the former 2 anyday.
ya, I am not sure we can improve any more under Lambert at least under the financial and club situation we have right now, call for lambert for the sack all ye want, who is going to come in and get us to mid table safety? I think Ooohahh said Pulis or some other merry go round prem manager out of work? what then Villans? I am pretty sure you will see the same scenario unfold again, if we want to get serious, the owner needs to sell .. that is out of our and his hands.
We need a seriously well off new owner, the likes of have not been seen since city were taken over. (maybe fernandes was a decent shout? he seems to have splashed the cash not sure he is all that interested long term or for the football.
we are really stuck at the moment. I can only hope that the form (not the football) of the last 3 games sticks for a another few weeks, next few games are good for some points i think.
before man U come to town
Agree Colonius will only get a pullis type manager at best and even though he will be ok in the short term long term he will struggle. Like you say until lerner sells whether lamberk stays or goes disnt really matter
We’re not gonna get a City owner, we’ll probably need even get a QPR owner, a steady owner, something like Lerner was with O’Neill would be good enough. No I don’t want Pulis long term, but I’d suspect he’d be better till the end of the season than Lambert is. Maybe take a chance and bring in Prandelli? He claimed he was a Villa fan, lost his job at Gala and worked under some horrid circumstances (like the president who claimed they’d sign players leaving right after the first game, then the new president not signing anyone he wanted, etc etc). I’d think Fox was brought in to bring in a bit more money so Lerner would spend a bit more.
Unfortunately you’re right, unless Lerner gets back to his old ways, we won’t be a CL type team, but we need a better manager to steady us.
The only argument I’ve seen that people make to keep Lambert is for stability, but when your manager is so terrible, he’s not gonna stabilize us. We’ve only gotten worse under him.
But look at saints they have proved that with £30m and a good manager what can be achieved. Other than cahill what decent player has our academy produced in the last 10 years we can’t even get that right and Danny Cowley who looked decent fucked of to arsenal. Says it all
Don’t forget – McLeish only won 9 games during his spell! And Houllier only managed 12! And that is in both League and Cup!
Houllier also came in late, and got sick early. He had no summer transfer window and Milner was sold late on. He also had far more injuries than Lambert’s dealing with even now. Was forced to play a host of kids and Villa only improved under him, had deals for the likes of Gervinho and Cabaye lined up, host of others looked at we’ve gone backwards under Lambert.
McLeish lost Young and Downing, plus Friedel in his season, Although our record 17 draws was funny as hell. We scored 2 less goals under McLeish in his 1 season than under Lambert in Lambert’s 2nd season, which usually should be about improving. Which was 8 goals less than Lambert’s 1st season.
Lambert was given a season, we looked good going forward and poor defensively, he was given more money, we drastically dropped in attacking and were still poor at the back. This season we’re again poor going forward and poor at the back. Now while I’d only be assuming, I’d assume under McLeish and ESPECIALLY Houllier, we’d have improved. Under Lambert? We’ve only gone backwards, drastically.
I agreed that we were showing signs of improvement under Houllier and it was a shame that he couldn’t carry on. I don’t know why we didn’t just stick with Gary McAllister instead of bringing in McLeish. I’m not entirely convinced that things would have improved greatly under Big Eck if he’d been given more time – he didn’t do too well at Forrest, did he!
Wouldn’t expect mass improvements under Big Eck but surely he wouldn’t make us worse over time, would he? Lambert has? We’ve gotten worse and worse from the first season till now, we’ve sold none of our big players under him and he still finds a way to screw it up.
Under McClown we were linked with bids for the likes of Karl Henry in the summer..
Ah yes those brilliant tabloids linking us with garbage players… Forgot I was supposed to believe those “rumours” that were consistently made up. Only name he talked about when discussing his job at Villa, was Gylfi Sigurdsson in which the signing didn’t come off. Tried signing Dembele and Zamora at Birmingham. All 3 better than the likes of Richardson, Bowery… etc.
I don’t think mcleish was as bad as lamberk tbh and I think he would of taken us into top ten and a cup run. But let’s face it if he had won the treble in that season a lot of fans would still want him out because of blues connection I was appalled the way fans treated him from start to finish and one of our best player this season is Hutton his signing.
At least we played entertaining football under houllier and finished ninth
3 unbeaten…..we go marching on. Utv. Goooooooo Lambert
Paul Lambert has won 4 of his last 23 games.
Nothing else to add.
Lamberk, I thought we played brilliant on them 23 games, ok we was lucky on the other4, hey ho…
what match was lambert watching guzan had more saves than heaton first half now that 3 last 4 goals down to gabby why did he not sub him put robinson with ten to go ,and for putting richardson on good god
y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y y if if i if if if if if if if
villa this that and other, by all means slag of villa and the manager and owner, but don’t insult people by making up your own stats of the match, burnley should and COULD of snatch it, but don’t try pull the wool over peoples eyes. we all seen the game so you fooling nobody
Missed most of the match and just caught bits on bbc website. Nothing changes from this match, all the same criticisms are valid.
But… It seems we had more possession and more shots on goal than burnley. Week after week those two stats have been used to criticise Lambert, so let’s at least admit that it is nice to see a change there.
maybe the return of Benteke will see us improve and build on that. It doesn’t really change the overall position at the club, but it would be nice to see.
the stats people use to criticize lambert and rightly so sometimes, are now ignored or amended to still put the boot in, to be fair dsvilla, villa were in control for most of the first 80 minutes and then somehow let slip control and were lucky in the end, to escape with a point. had they take some of the chances they would have been 3 up before the trouble.
but being villa, we don’t do things the easy way 🙁
But bottom line is we have conceded late equalisers in last 3 games and have learned nothing. Lamberk hasn’t got the kids to hide behind now as we have more experience in the squad now
oohahaha nobody is arguing with you , offcourse your always right, grealish almost stealing the game dying seconds, hes not, what i call a season pro. but hell what do i know, bend your stats oohahaha, 2 center backs both premier novices, hell what the fook do i know 🙁
Yes but Grealish only played last 15 mins and Clark has been around for years now. Players like Guzan, Cissoko, Hutton, Cole, Cleverley, Gabby and Richardson are experienced pros. Don’t forget Vlaar and Sendeross are experienced members of the squad also and we still lose when they play.even WEIMANN and Westwood has been around a few years now. No longer are we playing lower league players with no experience we have experience now and we are still shit
if you want i will go toe to toe / when your playing okore less than 10 games in premiership in your defense and clark who hasn’t ever been number 1 or 2 in the pecking order, hes a back up, always has been, always will be, they are new partnership thrown together out of necessity instead of desire. if any team other than ours were missing the first 3 choices at the center back pairing, they could be excused but no not ours
nobody using this as excuse its just you making up shit
I think Okore and Clark have a good working partnership with each other and I actually like the look of them in the defence albeit it the penalty debacle. But i think they genuinly want to prove their worth and it is showing as they are consistent.
12 Cole (Grealish – 67′ )
your stats are wrong again if your rounding up why not round it down to 60 minutes include the injury time of 5mins stats manoohahaha
Same old same old Oohah, watching the Villa is like ground hog day!
We were playing f**king Burnley ffs. Newly promoted, no experience at this level and haven’t got 22 years of SKY money behind them, it’s a disgrace. We should be taking teams like this to the f**king cleaners.
Agree BWS nothing wrong in drawing away to Burnley but as we are desperate for a win and had a great chance to win this was a poor result v one of our rivals. And that’s the sad thing Burnley without 22 years of Sky money are now our rivals!?
While you are right Nath, we were fairly comfortable bar maybe the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half, his subs weren’t good enough. If we’re not scoring or troubling them for 30 minutes of the 2nd half, then why take off Weimann who got the only assist for someone who has never added a single positive thing to the team going forward? Why not bring Gabby off? It was there to see he was useless in the 2nd half as we had the ball, he couldn’t use his pace to get behind teams so what was the point? Would it not be the time to try Robinson out? Or was he brought back for just in case emergencies? Or How about Bacuna? 2nd leading goal scorer last season, surely could do a lot better than anyone in scoring goals for us than we currently have.
He tries the same players every game, including this 1, and now we have a grand total of 3 goal scorers. 3. Yet having players like Bacuna and now Robinson on the bench who can’t be any worse than anyone else in front of goal, can’t get into a game against Burnley?
look andrew iam not sticking up for lambo, you misunderstand, i just annoyed with fabricating stats lmao. i aint the manager so i clearly don’t know. i thought the first sub was needed as cole had run his race. weimann i would have left on, clark also was forced sub. gabby can’t really count himself a striker on his passport, i am gutted….. i will wait until the palace game, hopeful when we have a striker who has a pair of balls we might score
The first sub was right, but the 2nd wasn’t and we should’ve had a 3rd sub, like Bacuna or Robinson on. Why he only made 2 before the 96th was stupid. Of course he didn’t know Clark was gonna have to come off, but the game pretty much ended anyways.
clark was injured didn’t you watch the game, he was having trouble with his eyes i believe. he clashed with their forward maybe a hand in the face ripped his cornea out or contact. another game tuesday so maybe robinson will play that one. i want the likes of robinson and grealish to get more involvement, but i don’t make decisions.
I did, I just said Clark got injured, but he got injured and taken off in the 96TH MINUTE. We shouldn’t have our 3rd sub when it’s 1-1 in the 96th. Should’ve had it far earlier than that. I realize Clark got injured and yes, he was our 3rd sub however he went off moments before the whistle went.
had lambert used his 3rd sub before clarks injury, people like you would be slating him for this. but in fact it looks a good decision now, or we were down to 10 men while burnley were going for the win, in the dying minutes
Not at all. My mind doesn’t change like that lol. Not like he can bloody predict the future, Would’ve easily forgiven him if Clark would’ve gotten injured after he made 3 subs. Although who knows if that accident still would’ve happened.
I posted a review, only to find Mr Cheese had beat me to it, so I pulled it.
Fwiw, I thought we were ok against a poor side.
The biggest plus was I actually enjoyed watching the game.
What a change that made.
even when nobody is posting positive post, some posters go fishing for biters lmao oohahaha could start a fight with his shadow and still lose lmao, i said before the 3 matches 9 points no excuses, but when you create chances and fluff the finishing you don’t deserve to win
Sorry Badger, I did send an email through earlier that morning?
OT – The game was throgouhly enjoying. It was good to see us playing football for once, but I think it has been that long since any of them have had a shot on target, they’ve forgotten how to shoot properly. Most shots lacked power, which would have been the deciding factor. But all in all, I will not complain.
We’ve all our ‘best’ players out we some how seem to be getting the points and I have to admire that because it shows dimension to a weak squad.
No worries Mr C.
I’d rather hear someone elses opinion, as I already know what mine is lol.
Grealish is still a confident and great player
Bollox, just what did he do?
Teachers report
Jack is suffering from overconfidence, he needs to take a reality check, get his feet back on the ground, pull his socks up stop believing the hype and work harder.
D –
And you need to get a job……chubby.
Not sure what game you thought you watched? He made space, pressured well, passed even better and got forward. Shame he didn’t take his shot in the final moments better because it would have changed your dilluded opinion.
What a f**king bell end. I disagree with your bullshit over the top assessment of a player that has yet to stick the ball in the net, create a single thing or even put in worthwhile cross or pass, well in fact do anything other than fall over and wonder round wit his trainer socks down by his ankles (that speaks volumes about him) and I’m deluded?
Ok whatever.
PS Your match reviews wank, leave it to Badger next time.
You sound pissed off BWS, I get called Dickhead, Twat, I’ve had to go and ask the vicar was I at one time christend them names, he said my son don’t worry people like them have lost the plot.:-) 🙂 forgive them for they no not what they do. In other word Bolloxs to them.
Not just pissed off with Lambert, Lerner and Villa but also this modern generation Villa fan where compliance is the name of the game. Lets being honest if they gave a flying f**k about the club and appreciated it’s history they’d be screaming from the rooftops but no everything’s just peachy and the likes of us should just ‘get behind the team’ and become ‘proper fans’.
As you say Bill – Bollox to them.
Yep where have all these liberal left fans come from ffs. Probably the same people that defend the burglar that broke into your house and beat you up ffs
Give me back the days I had them in my little world, they cried for their mums, I had the job off turning them into men. In todays world BWS mums spoil them. They need a dummy today.Don’t they Brick.
Don’t awaken him from his crypt mate ffs.
Ooops
sorry Giddy, hey just put up my trimmings outside, all for the little ones, and me Merry Christmas all.
Yes mate it’s just around the corner, yet another good liver bashing.
@BWS you haven’t a clue if you think my opinion is over the top, look at your response… You think I don’t like us losing after all the club used to stand for? I voiced my opinion in a different way that doesn’t involve insulting and through and through negativity. You don’t like it, it clearly says I’m the poster, so don’t click it and start abusing me.
Well, we wont play many weaker teams than Burnley this season thats for sure and we still only just managed to hang on for a point.
We played better today, no two ways about it (partly down to the space we were afforded), but they were there for the taking, and instead of going for the win, we sat off and eventually the pressure told and we conceded. Same as our last game.
I dont know how longer this shit can go on. No other top flight manager (in my lifetime at least) has been given so much time to sort their team out. Bu instead of being out there finding us a decent manager, the board are on the hunt for another assistant manager to Lambert. Its just painful…cut the cord FFS!!
On a positive note, back 4 were solid again. Hutton is well in line for player of the season. Nice to see Grealish get some time on the field and we actually scored a decent goal which we created ourselves (almost worthy of a contract extension for Lambert I would have thought!)
The same Hutton that most villa fans slagged of just because mclown signed him. He was never as bad as fans made out. Yet again if mcleish had signed messi and Ronaldo we would of said they were shit too
Oohah, you keeping on saying that is becoming quite tedious.
I slagged Hutton in his first season purely because he was utter crap, plain and simple.
Whereas now, I’ve praised him as he’s played well.
It really has nothing to do with who signed him and I suspect my opinion is similar to most other Villa fans.
As for Big Feck, just don’t, please.
He was utter garbage as a manager for us, same as Lambert is proving to be.
I have never slagged the bloke and no he wasn’t crap even in his first season and I’ve had my issues with Oohah but he’s right on this one. Hutton was given a rough ride because of who bought him and if anyone is becoming tedious on this site its longford in one of his many guises.
.
Hutton was not utter crap in his first season a bit reckless but not crap Badger he was certainly no worse than any other player that season but still got most abuse. Mcleish was no worse than lamberk and il argue a bit better simply as he won a cup with blues say what you like it’s more than any manager has done for us with 3-4 times the resources
Ok Oohah, you have your view, I have mine, which says they’re both shit, so we’ll agree to disagree.
It’s the constant repetition that’s tedious to me.
Just saying.
OohAhh you were one of those fans!!
You are the epitome of fickle, and as Badger said it’s becoming tedious, i can easily dig out your old comments from the old site if you like in which you constantly berate McLeish for negative tactics, in fact you were the one who started calling him McClown in the first place.
You also kept calling Hutton a talentless thug.
You are full of shit mate, whats worse is you actually believe it yourself.
If anyone wants said comments of OohAhhs from back then, please do let me know and i’ll happily post them up from the old site.
He is a talentless thug but nonetheless a talentless thug who is playing well and showing some passion which is more than can be said of some. As for mclown yes he is negative dosnt mean he is worse than lamberk though. So I am not fickle you just need an easy target to pick on so go ahead I dont give a fuck
Badger, I said the same thing a couple of days back. OohAhh is a broken record. Hutton this season in no way resembles the guy who played unde McTwat. Unfathomable. We don’t give a fick who signed him. Does Given get the same shit?????
What you goin on about BWS
I’m no blue nose pal
Your drunk ain’t ya grandad
Jay Dee my most sincerest apologies, aimed at bum bum. The answer to your questions -grandad – yes pissed- yes. What are Sunday’s for?
Get it down yer MATE. 😀
No need to apologise my friend all good utv
????? I think some of our posts are ending up under the wrongs comments…The only comment I could have made that was aimed at anyone was at CommittedVillan, who quite frankly should be. And I stand by my Hutton view. His first season was awful. I don’t give a feck who signed him. This season he’s been fantastic. BWS…pissed on a school night??? I TRY to keep dry on a Sunday…but usually fail miserably!
Given dosnt play ffs. And Hutton did ok under under mclown but we got on huttons back more than any other player I was there and was appalled then. Given as a goalie will never get as much stick as an outfield player anyway
No but Given came in as a respected goal keeper and was thought of as great (still not quite sure why but hey ho, I got into many arguments over him). Hutton didn’t have said reputation when coming in. Hell there was an article on here claiming N’Zogbia was better than Downing and Young put together and he’d solve all our problems with McLeish. That went well too.
Another OT, but what a surprise;
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/roy-keanes-shock-aston-villa-4719930
Players celebrated when Keane left.
Well that said it all has it not,Keane is and was a thug, the only club that would offer him a job was a club thats going nowhere, Was that the Villa.
Made that point yesterday we looked better and more confident with Keane gone, and 2 muppets slated me for it. As I said when Keane came, he’d be an awful appointment, he loses every dressing room he’s ever been in and his “hard kick ass style” is the worst way to manage anybody, from any type of job.
I’m sure there would be applause if LAMBERT walked from the terraces let alone the dressing room.fucking useless twat
bill
the players applauded when keane left the same shower of pricks that are getting a wage from our great club, personally i detest keane but if you watch from pool game he was sitting down not barking out orders scaring the life of that shower. charlie nicholas said yesterday lambert is doing more coaching the last few months and i only thought he was a bad manager lambert out
Fuck keane. The problem was not keane the problem is lambert. We where struggling before he came on board. Some villa fans should wake up an smell the coffee.
That’s true but keane us no better imo. Lamberk out
stop fucking whingeing!! 4 pts from next 2 games = 5 unbeaten despite massive injury problems. of course, 5 unbeaten games and a top half position = papering over the cracks, yawn !!! Top 10 finish, no problem!!! Its terrible when you cant manage to lose …. Lambert OUT …… is so boring not losing for 5 games. ffs… its nearly XMAS, Santa please give the negative pricks on here something to whinge about…. dont ruin their XMAS!!!
Lots of love
Lambert’s Dad xx
Nose.
Your the prick. On this site we all love Villa. We want the best for our club. Put whats happening its not exceptable .
I gave up believing anything I read in the Mirror a long time ago. However I would hope that Keane did lose it with the players after the QPR game, had I been in his shoes I would have torn them off a strip. It is one of Lambert’s many failings that he cannot get nasty, which is presumably why he replaced the bullying Culverhouse with Keane – he needs a hatchet man.
Keane has now joined Keegan as a serial quitter in the face of any adversity, I doubt he will get another EPL job, or manager’s job anywhere.
Villa played OK but the familiar failings showed, sitting back on the lead and screwing up after the second substitution. Even though the subs were not culpable this time, the second change is a catalyst for error and Richardson himself added nothing of value.
Oll you seem to know your footy so I ask what’s your take on grealish? Yes the kids obviously got ability but every time I see him all I see is a kid believing his own press.
Now as the polar opposite of this I give you Kane at Spurs, you can see all the lad wants to do is play football, I don’t get that vibe with grealish, it’s all about image.
What’s your take on him?
Agree BWS look at Kane, Berkeley etc and they are a class above anything we’ve ever produced bar cahill. The only other one that looked good was Danny Cowley and he fucked of to arsenal typical
BWS thanks for the compliment. I have seen Grealish playing for the youth team where he is a star and knows it. Where I fear you may be right is his absence of shin pads – or he has those tiny ones that fulfil the obligation but do not protect. I can’t believe referees or his manager lets him get away with it. Is it showing off is he just going to skip over the tackles?
Against that I would put one fact, he has gone on for the 1st team as a sub when everyone ahead of him has battened down the hatches and does not want to attack. So where are his options for a pass, and particularly a give and get exchange? Hence him running round in circles with no product. We need to see him start a game to find out.
Absolutely rubbish couldn’t even beat Burnley.Chairman who doesn’t represent his club with the money it deserves and a manager again who had a good rep tarnished by Lerner.Lambert is another scapegoat for Lerners penny pinching linch Lerner cheapskate bastard it should be Lerners name that should be sung from the rafters to go…..Everyone sing Lerner out….
Jay Dee how can any true claret and blue support this regime presently at VP with such fervour? The only one’s that could support our demise with such vigour are noses.
Mate I love the Villa but do not support Lerner and I’m not keen on Lambert either. But if Lerner was spending we wouldn’t be in this mess.Im disgusted at Lerner and I’m hard pressed to blame Lambert as he’s had to make do.Lerner will carry on employing managers and firing managers as long as they do it to his tune. When they fail because most of the time at the moment they do is exactly the reason why Martin Oneill left because he knew Lerner was about to destroy AVFC & tarnish his good name…UTV brother
BWS are you pissed as a fart mate??????JD ain’t no nose, has that reply landed in the right place??????
Ignore it JayDee.
BWS, you need to calm down mate.
I’m sure we all appreciate that it’s how the Villa get to you, but you’re becoming out of order.
Badger I think you need to get them splinters out your arse and stop sitting on the fence! At least Oohah has the courage of his convictions.
