Glad we played well, but disappointed not to pick up a deserved point.

Thats the understatement of the century Bencey, i’m absolutely gutted, we was robbed by the most inept bent piece of refereeing I’ve ever witnessed. If it was a horse race they’d be a stewards enquiry!

It weren’t a penalty, if anything it should of been a freekick to Chelsea, Benteke was all over Terry.

Benteke wasn´t involved in that one, it was Gabby. But this decision is debatable – could go either way. Wished it was ours.

Not sure if I’m allowed to say it but I will. What we just witnessed there was daylight robbery and corruption. Ivanovic clear red card, offside goal and then the clear handball by the utter **** Terry and nothing. Kevin Friend has probably received a nicer little earner from Ambramovich.
Another reason why I hate modern football . A huge well done to our Villa lads for a excellent performance in the face of a bent referee

Of course not, he’ll probably get a pat on the back from the PL for helping out their beloved top 4. One rule for the Sky 4, another for everyone else. It begs the question whats the point?

he wont be dropped normal service was resumed the fact is the ref saturday was dropped for making the correct decisions and not in favour of the sky 4 so he got his knuckles wrapped and it was a warning to other referees to make that you must come down in favour of the top clubs that my fellow villians is why teams outside of the top 4 or 5 will never compete because there will never be a level playing field this should come as no surprise to anyone

  9. Benno
    Benno August 21, 2013 at 10:05 pm . Reply

Disgraceful refereeing cost us that game.

The penalty was as stonewall as you will see. He was also 5 yards from when Ivanovic elbowed Benteke. That has to be a straight red.

We may have got some luck at Arsenal but we got nothing today. The penalty is unreal though as it was so obvious.

All in all though a great performance from us, esp second half. we were dominating the game when they scored the second. Cech really stopped us winning that. Delph was outstanding again, as were Luna and Lowton. Okore settled in nicely at the back…and vlaar did much better tonight.

Plenty of positives but i am still fucked off! Even Mourinho says we deserved a point!

yeah we was robbed, we made Chelsea work tonight and 2 blinding saves from cech, missed the ivanovic incident witht the elbow as my stream needed refreshing.
a draw would have been a fair result.
okore looked very good for me, delph was everywhere tonight and a nice showing from tonev at the end to add to a good team performance.
    verdict, villa unlucky.

Well, that was one the most biased refereeing performance I have ever seen, even worse than the numerous times we have been stitched up by Dowd and Halsey.Friend should be investigated but the FA but nothing will happen. He’ll probably get a promotion for helping out Chelsea. The PL can fuck right off, if it wasn’t for the mighty Villa, I wouldn’t watch a second of this biased farce.
Performance warranted at least a point, Lambert must be fuming. Delph MOTM- he’s going to be a revelation this year I feel (well at least in the games where the Sky 4 refs don’t rob us blind)

We beat Arsenal away, we made the referee have to put his future on the line to let Chelsea win, I can’t wait to see the rest of the season. Clark wasn’t bad at all btw, only a gash to the head and five stitches had him replaced by Okore, who did a superb job. I think Okore should start now though.

Delph absolutely massive. You can see how much confidence he has when he gets the ball. Okore looked quite good, and the whole team was fighting and full of running. Maybe we could get Tonev on a little bit earlier.

    Had to comment on tonight:
That performance reminded of the ‘proper’ Villa teams of the 90’s (that’s as far back as I remember) – the types of teams who you thought could win any game, not the last few years when you didn’t think we could win any game.

The midfield 3 were magnificent, as were the defence; Weimann’s chances were the best two of the game; Ivanovic should have been off and was then offside for the winner; and we should have had a penalty.

Draw?! We deserved another away win!

Oh, and Mourinho, I used to think you were great but you are an idiot (that’s putting it very mildly). Even in victory, you managed to be a sore loser. Pathetic!

He’s actually becoming cringe-worthy. Hope United hammer them on Monday, and I hate United as much as the next man! It won’t be long before he’s fallen out with everyone and disgraced himself, just like he did in Spain. Worse than a spoilt child!

I think that’s the point BB we won saturday and the ref was impartial, he gets suspended so that leads directly to the performance of the ref tonight and that is why people are so pissed off.

For not letting arsenal win of course. Which is why the ref didn’t give pen of course as he thought he’d get same treatment. If Chelsea were winning 4.0 then it would of been given but not at 2.1 to them mourinho wouldn’t like it

I hope not! There’s no hope if he was! That’s basically the powers saying to refs: ”make sure the Sky 4 win.”

I’d be shocked if he was suspended to what was an excellent, brave performance…

yeah that first emerged about an hour after the game on Saturday, now the premier league are not famed for being rapid with there decisions and if they acted that quick it does leave them open to corruption charges, so think this is a little bit of mischief from some gooners the little scamps.
