Fulham – Villa; Has he been sacked yet?

Well, apparently not and we can only wish.

The first thing Steve Gerrard mentioned in the Email I got from the club today mentioned how we’d got no new squad problems because Cameron Archer is fit after suffering from a bug at the weekend.
Why he even bothered to mention that, I really don’t know, as if the lad gets on the pitch it’ll probably only be for a couple of minutes anyway.
In fact, not playing Archer when Watkins and Ings are so ineffective is just one of the reasons I want him gone. If it’s the case that the manager doesn’t want to risk the kid losing confidence because of a poor game or something, that might be acceptable, if only he would come out and say that.
But it just seems like he doesn’t rate Archer at all and his comments to the Brum Mail reporter regarding Archer just heightened my disdain for him even more.

You never know, now that I’ve said that, maybe Gerrard realises how close to the bullet he is and will actually give Archer a good half an hour or so. Then again, I doubt it.

And then, the fact that Lucas Digne might have done a bit of training on grass today apart, I really couldn’t care less about what he has to say.
Which is some state of affairs. I even listened to Alex McLeish, even though I really didn’t like him.

So given that I’m finding it hard to even motivate myself to watch the game, which is on Prime video,
I’m going to give my guess as to how the game will go.

We’ll huff and puff and maybe even create some chances. We have have yet another boatload of shots.
But I don’t see us scoring more than one, if that.
And given that we still look prone to conceding, whether through Mings’ errors or not, I think we’ll concede more than one.
Hence I’m going for a 2-1 defeat.
And if it happens, I don’t know how I’ll feel.
I don’t want us to lose, yet a defeat would put Gerrard another step closer to being gone.
Which would be a good thing.

That’s it 2-0 down, so take a striker off for defensive midfielder. The man is clueless.

Has Fulham actually managed a clean sheet this season – I’m not sure they have. Says all you need to know about this clueless side – and that’s down to the manager.

Fulham have been given so much space to play all game – that has to be down to the lack of game plan, desire, intensity etc. from Villa.

If Gerrard is still manager tomorrow, I am definitely not watching the Brentford game.

    It’s getting very embarrassing now; 3 – 0 and that’s it.

What a load of complete and utter crap.

I don’t think it’s fair to blame Mings for tonight’s excruciating embarrassment. The major culprit is sitting in the dug out and if he had any sense of humility he’d resign tomorrow and apologise to all Villa fans for ruining our team.

A 17 year old kid on for Fulham. To be fair they could afford to play the U10’s to beat a Gerrard team.

First clean sheet of the season for Fulham.
It has to be impossible for Villa to allow Gerrard the Brentford match…doesn’t it???
    Beyond embarrassing now.

I beg you NWSE please SACK Gerrard. Purslow won’t do it and will wait for relegation before he considers it.
Our club is an embarrassment and the players look like they don’t care anymore. No tackling, no tactics! Just look like a bunch of strangers who met up 5 minutes before kick off.
GERRARD OUT! GERRARD OUT! GERRARD OUT! GERRARD OUT! GERRARD OUT! GERRARD OUT!

    Right that’s it!

Purslow stated recently that sacking Gerrard had never crossed his mind.

Purslow let’s be clear. Do not treat us fans with contempt. Treating supporters with the disdain politicians do to us is beyond the pale.

Purslow, you ensured Dean Smith was sacked for not bringing continual improvement. Gerrard has been an absolute failure. Not only has Gerrard got to be sacked immediately, but you must follow him out of the door. You lack that critical factor as a CEO, you are useless at spotting talented manager. Your realm is finance not the plating side.

NSWE you are honourable men. These two connected former ‘Pool employees are wrecking your vision. Please dismiss them.

      Sid you are spot on.

Whoever labelled Purslow Mr Vanity Project had it spit on.

We don’t need a CEO who knows nothing about football, we need a top class football man on the board reporting direct to NSWE alongside a top class Commercial Director.

Gerrard and his big mate Purslow out – just get out both of you, you’re not wanted.

Also most of the coaching staff needs to go too, especially MacPhee!!

OMG! Gerrard totally quoted Liz Truss! ” I am a fighter. I won’t give up”.
The lettuce will beat not only Truss but Gerrard too.
    Shambles.
