Leicester – Villa; Can I make it 4 out of 4 predictions correct?

So Leicester have bulleted come to a mutual agreement with Brendan Rodgers, that basically sees him gone.

If he was still there, I’d have predicted a pretty straightforward win for us.
I still lean that way,but I’ve read a comment on here that suggests that the players might not have been happy with him and could bounce now that he’s gone.

I have to say, I never saw that in the way they played. I just saw a manger that had basically run out of steam. It was something I’d noticed about him at Liverpool and Celtic, but I don’t recall there being any inference that he’d lost the dressing room?
Whatever, I rate him as a manager and think he’ll do okay at his next club.

Squad news is that Boubacar Kamara may be available after looking doubtful when he came off against Chelsea. His being hooked would seem to have been mostly precautionary.
Matty Cash, Jed Steer and Philippe Coutinho are all still out.

Leicester City defenders Dennis Praet and Jonny Evans could both return after missing the defeat at Crystal Palace due to injury.

Youri Tielemans, James Justin and Ryan Bertrand are still out.

I can’t say I’ve seen much of Leicester lately, although I did watch them a few times earlier in the season.
They don’t strike me as a team that achieve much and while I don’t like to get above myself having got (I think?) 3 predictions on the trot correct, I’m going for another away win, which would be pretty impressive.

I’d like to think we could get a few goals to improve our minus 2 status, but suspect I’m really pushing my luck there.

I’ll go for a 2-1 win, because we’re on a roll.

I have to throw in the usual “you watch me get it totally wrong, because it’s what the Villa do” comment, but somehow, I don’t think it will apply tomorrow.

A reasonably confident 2-1 win then, although I’d reluctantly take a draw, as much as it might annoy me.

Onwards and upwards with “Unai the great”, is what I say 🙂

Ollie was deemed to have fouled a Leicester player and then sent off. Penalty awarded. VAR checked and it was Ollie who was fouled. No penalty. Ollie back on the pitch!!!!!

      Thanks Bum Bum – phew!

Great win – onwards and upwards.

Tomorrow I have to try and sort out my firestick. BT tried (and failed) to install fibre this week and my internet was down for a couple of hours. Hoping that’s what’s caused the problem but not sure why!

Another Firestick fault which appears after 2 hours on requires you to pull the power feed out of the Firestick leave it 30 seconds and reconnect. The Firestick seems to build up static.

Tried that OLL but thanks for the heads up – also restarted the fire stick.

I hope it’s a problem with the app so will have a go at that tomorrow.

That wasn’t good for my heart rate. If only the season had started with Emery in charge. Even the VAR decisions are starting to go our way 🙂

I’m expecting Emery to walk on water soon! He is a genius. He has us winning those matches we spect to win but cock it up. If we can beat Forest at the weekend, what a magic week.

Luckily we will soon have Cash and Coutinho back plus Carlos must be close to getting on the pitch. We have momentum and it feels like it did when we won 10 on the trot under Deano in the Championship. Confidence is a big thing right now.

After all the years of shite, is it finally time things are actually going right for us??

Think about it, it wasn’t ever rocket science. McLeish, Lambert, Sherwood. Shit managers will zero investment in the team. Is it any wonder there were years of shite? Now, finally, finally, a proper proper, top class manager, and low and behold, he’s making good players better and they want to play for him, because they know he’s brilliant and they want to win. Get the recruitment right this summer, and I dare not dream how high this man can take Aston Villa. All I’ll say is remember what Sawiris promised when he bought the club? I hope he does and sticks to the plan!

Total and utter shite for years, I gave up the ghost under Rémi Garde, then to add insult to injury Randy sells us to the doc🤦‍♂️
Next stop Sheffield Wednesday here we come was my thinking, no way back from this.
Destination purgatory in the lower divisions.
        How wrong I was.

There were no issues with fire sticks or other media players on SKY channels. All problems, and there were many was with non SKY providers.

My Lad is finding this form we are in hard to take in. He is only fifteen and has known nothing but the bad times. What a win. Momentum is with us at the minute and we have to keep the faith and support all the lads including Bailey as we cant do anything about it now. I think he will be gone in the summer . Just not the right fit . Harvey Barnes a good shout as someone mentioned earlier. We will likely loose to someone we would expect to beat before end of season and I had expected it to be tonight. Well done lads. In Emery we must trust. Best Manager since Big Ron in my opinion.

Apparently when Sawiris personally convinced Emery to join Villa, he gave him a blank piece of paper and asked him to build him a Champions League team. I am convinced Emery will be backed on the summer.

I’m looking forward to a summer of quality signings. The higher we finish the easier it is to get the players needed plus keeping hold of the players who might have left. Harvey Barnes I have always been impressed with and Eze at Palace. I can see Emery strengthening in every area of the team.

Holte, i don’t think well bring in anymore than 4 or maybe 5 players in the summer. We have a massively improved set of players. To many would disrupt the squad.
