Aston Villa have 7 players out on loan so it’s important to keep up to date on how they’ve been playing. But firstly, Paul Lambert wants to send Marc Albrighton on loan, I’ve already written an article regarding Albrighton’s possibly loan move to Derby but now I’ve got a few quotes from Paul Lambert regarding the matter.
“He missed nearly a whole season, he’s still really short (of match fitness).
“If something comes up and I think it’s right I’ll look at it. If I don’t he’ll stay here.
“He possibly needs a good run, he needs to stay injury free. He missed most of last year and even in pre-season he missed games.
“He needs that run where he does not break down. – Paul Lambert
It appears as though Albrighton is totally out of Lambert’s plans, but he needs to be playing and this may be his last year to impress the boss.
Meanwhile, Gary Gardner and Jordan Bowery will not be leaving on loan. Bowery can play out wide and Lambert want’s to have a full squad of 25 players. While Lambert wants Gardner to continue training and working with the first team.
Here are the players currently on loan:
Burke (Shrewsbury): The young forward has featured in 3 games for Shrewsbury and has scored 1 goal for Shrewsbury in the League trophy.
Carruthers (MK Dons): Samir has been given a fair amount of game time at MK Dons, he has featured in 5 games and has scored a goal and even assisted one. The midfield has been playing out wide and has also won his team a penalty.
Bent (Fulham): Bent is currently injured but he has so far featured in 2 games for Fulham. Bent scored on his League debut for Fulham.
Delfouneso (Blackpool): Nathan returns to Blackpool, he was loaned out to Blackpool last year as well. He has featured in 5 games, however has failed to score or assist in any of those games.
Stevens (Notts County): Notts County is struggling, last in League 1; yet, Stevens has played 3 games for the club and helped keep 1 clean sheet for the club.
Ireland (Stoke): Reunited with former boss Mark Hughes, was a substitute in Stoke’s last game against Man City, that game ended goalless.
Grealish (Notts County): Grealish has moved to Notts County on loan has been given the number 7 shirt, he will be responsible in adding much needed creativity into the Magpies midfield. He’s featured in 2 games so far.
If various sources are to be believed, Grealish has been playing at left back for Notts.
No, think flashscores just get the positions mixed up sometimes. They had Stevens at CM aswell, so probably got him and Grealish mixed up
PL’s reportedly saying on sky that he’s not looking to loan market to cover for Jonas Okore, well no surprises there then.
I don’t think it’s the wrong decision yet. I want to see how Baker and Clark play out. If it goes terrible, I’m sure that Lambert would look into the loan market.
So basically were stuck with the same shit defence as last season no improvement lambert out if we fail to keep a clean sheet tomo and 3 points not going through another season of relegation trouble 27 games is a bit too far
