Nicklas Helenius’s agent has spoken again in regards to his clients future at Aston Villa. Helenius joined Aston Villa from the Danish League in the summer and has only registered a handful of substitute appearances. He also scored his first goal for the club against Sheffield United in the FA Cup a few weeks ago. The arrival of Grant Holt has jeopardised the Dane’s potential first-team appearances.
Despite not featuring too much for Aston Villa, his agent Mads Buch claims that “Nicklas is happy at Aston Villa”. Paul Lambert has also recently told the press that he believe that Helenius has a part to play for Aston Villa. It’s believed within the training camp that Helenius just isn’t ready for the Premier League.
Having said that, it’s very likely that Helenius could go out on loan for the remainder of the season to get some games under his belt. Ideally in Championship.
“It’s clear that they won’t sell him now. They have said that they believe in him.
“If anything is going to happen then a loan deal is most likely. It is now a question of where Villa want him to develop, at the club or at a lower level.
“He is happy but this is about him being a part of the plans for the remainder of the season. If he’s not in the match squad then it makes sense to give him games at a lower level.” – Helenius’ representative Mads Buch
Feel for the lad as I personally believe has a lot to offer. I think hes ability is outstanding and that he could be the link frol midfield to attack.
As for not being ready for the pl. I could build convincing cases against the majority of our current squad.
Lambert is a genius though so im sure he knows what hes doing..
The lads one of our brightest prospects, young and hungry too, but what does Lambert do…. not play him and bring Grant Holt in….Is young and hungry no longer the action plan, in fact do we have an action plan any more ??
Good luck to him, anythings better than just keeping a bench warm.i ask myself has he been given a chance to prove himself?
Because they see in training he is not good enough for PL football ?
He has shown nothing in brief appearances to suggest to me that he could be.
Managers make dud signings ….
Our treatment of our young players coming through has caused us problems in the past.
Talents who have wasted themselves because we stuck them on big wages and made them believe they had made it too early. Off field problems with drinking and driving.
I also think at times as fans we put a lot of pressure on some of our young players way too early and think they are gonna make it straight away, those types of players are a rarity in any league let alone inside of one squad.
Last night i was a little dumbfounded at the messages grealish was getting from some of our fans, expecting him to come in at the age of 19 and be our No 10 our saviour, this wont happen, this is one of the few areas i agree with lambert on his treatment. Loan out the players get them some experience see how they get along in a league where you will get kicked before you get tackled, build up there confidence in the process.
I sometimes feel we stick some of our players in the team too early and expect way too much from them, if they dont play well then an agent has turned there head.
Some of these players are hopefully our future and show a lot of promise that will come good later on regardless of who the manager is. I feel helenius is on that list of players.
Please Randy Paul and Paul we feel your unity if you are reading this sign a new EXPERIENCED LB!
Still can’t believe we let Crowley go brilliant player. The only w class player we may have had and arsenal have him fyckin joke can’t even hold onto decent 15 yr old kids now
Iv seen plenty in the liitle time he’s had that he is far better than Weimann and Bowery at both finishing, passing, first touch and simply at football.
The other 2 are the ones who should feck off on loan
If Helenius is deemed to be not ready for the Prem, why the fuck did we sign him?
Surely we already have loads at our supposedly fantastic academy that aren’t ready?
Helenius on loan + Holt in = desperate measures by a manager who has had to turn 180 on his previous policy, imo.
The clock’s ticking Mr Lambert, regardless of the shite that fatty Faulkner comes out with.
Let him go out on loan and let’s see what he can do. No, it won’t be in the PL but get him playing competitive football and give him a chance.
makes sense to put him out on loan if he’s not going to play.
Christ how bad must he be on the training pitch for lambert to say he’s not PL ready? we put in way too many players who aren’t PL ready as has been said and also as has been said we expect too much sometimes.
usually raw and young players feature in a balanced squad helped on by the more experienced squad members. we field at least what 8 raw inexperienced young players in every single game its no wonder really we get some of the results and performances we do. no balance.
Think a loan move to Germany would be good for him and other than his home land or the Championship which I hope doesn’t happen, the place he’ll go. Raw, talented, technically gifted, but has the size and strength needed. Sadly I don’t he’ll stay, though I do think overall he’s the best signing from Lambert over the summer. Unfortunate not to see him play.
We just signed Bertrand on loan utv
Awesome signing jd! Massive positive for the club. If We can just get a good AM id be happy.
Yes…good fucking full back! I have been saying get Berta d mor months!
have we signed a LB?
I am in a state of shock, maybe the management do watch games!
It seems, albeit belatedly that Lambert has realised that neither Bennet or Luna are not good enough for the PL!
heard a rumour from a mate that we are in for Scott Dann, if i am honest i have never seen him play
Bertrand is probably an upgrade on what we have at LB. Shows how far adrift we are if Chelsea’s third choice fullback is better than any we have. Still want to see the key midfield position sorted.
As for Helenius I say give him a chance in the team. Lambert was praising him after his contribution against Sheff Utd so give him some pitch time. I can’t see why some players are ahead of him.
DS… bit unfair mate. Bertrand is only third choice because there are 2 great LBs in front of him. He has played for England, played in a CL final and was interesting Liverpool. So not too shabby IMO
Not the point I was trying to make Langford. What I was trying to say is that Chelsea have two left backs who are better than him so they can afford to let us have him on loan. I see it as a symbol of how far we are adrift of the Top 4/6 teams. I think he is a very good LB so happy that we have him, just pissed off at what it shows about where we are.
DS…fair play mate. I agree with those points!
Great signing! – He’s only 3rd choice because Cole is still quality and hugely experienced and Azpilacueta has been in top form when he was LB.
That’s more like it he’s a whizz compared to what we’ve got on offer in that position atm.yet another loan i can see him doing well then it’s abit of groundhog just like kyle walker they move back to their parent club.good quick fix though for now.
Rumours where rife this Mornin about Dann,Dorrans have to wait n see May not be true all the best UTV
well iam happy as larry
only just heard news a left back of quality as arrived. Bertrand will offer loads just hope we can capture him full time ~ getting first team football might be a good bargaining tool.
allowing helenius a loan will only benefit us long-term ~ especially if we can get a championship club 2 blood him ~ a midfielder is still needed if lambert can get another player of quality of bertrand he has done a good window
