Villa do deal with Statsports; Who are they?

Is this old news?
I really don’t know, as I feel a bit out of the loop lately, with me working seven days a week and basically getting far less sleep than is anywhere near comfortable for me.

Anyway, Giddy asked me what the bras in the training in the US pics were about and I immediately assumed it was one of the American clubs sponsors or something.
Until a search revealed this (about a quarter of the way down the page atm);

https://www.facebook.com/statsports?hc_location=timeline

They’re a sports science company, who apparently have one of the best monitoring apps/pieces of kit going.
As one of the replies suggests, they’re supposed to be the dog’s danglies in their field and seem to have been working for the German international squad.
And we’ve apparently agreed a long term deal with them.

So why has this not been mentioned anywhere else?
Of course, it’s always possible that I’ve missed it, but a quick search on the OS reveals nothing.

To me, this is quite an important link-up and certainly more important than what’s being offered at the VMF restaurant, regardless of how highly it might be rated.

If they are indeed rated as highly as it seems, it would appear we’ve made a choice that we should be shouting about as a positive.
I’m not mad about all this stuff, as my views are well known in that the team are only playing two games a week and it should easily be within them at this sort of age.
But then, I’m frequently reminded that I’m behind the times.

If this link-up helps us, it doesn’t matter.
I’m all in favour of it.

Just red a bit about these vests(bras)it seems they tell you a multitude of things heart rate, stress levels & basically how much effort your putting in so it will weed out the lazy sods in the team.it seems Liverpool use this system so it can’t be a bad thing.

Last season we used Catapult for the vests. Its not a new thing, pretty standard across pro footy. Not the sort of thing ud release news of.

Surely if this was being shouted about by the club, you’d badge it as unimportant PR guff?

well any concerns i had over Hutton, are firmly squashed. i thought he was a strong performer in both US tour games.he will not only offer cover as the wing back /full back. i believe hes the best option in them positions over Lowton.

nice 2 see steer, grealish and gardner av good games:) grealish made a defense splitting pass down the middle to bent, who was slightly offside, but proof this kid can play that number 10, he needed the spell last year at notts now hes ready 2b eased into the role cole will play when fit.

gardner had a steady game rattled in a fine shot late on and steer was commanding best i have seen him, didn’t have many shots 2 save but he was commanding and dealt with poor back passes when called on

Nath…agreed mate. Hutton has good ability. With the bomb squad back, 3 additions to the team and the emergence of Grealish, Gardner and Robinson thinks are looking alot healthier this time around. That ‘R’ word will not be mentioned this season, and that will make a pleasant change.

i totally agree more healthier, competitions for all positions, i was concerned with bent and hutton returning, we all know it only takes 1 bad apple to spoil the bunch.but both look hungry 2 prove lerner wrong.
also this post is encouraging, lamberts isn’t resting on his laurels, i think a cm of Ki caliber would make even more of a difference, looks like langfordvilla will be spot on again 3rd season in a row 🙂 we will not be relegated and this time no R word needed top 10 and maybe a cup

Have I come to the right blog? Great to hear some positivity coming through – we won’t be relegated, the squad is stronger than it was in the last two seasons and we’ve finally got some experience which we already owned back in the side. N’zogbia is a class act on his day by the way.

Lol. I watched some of the game on internet last night. In the first half hr we were awful and they could easily have scored 2-3 before we got our arse into gear. Sound familiar. Then we scored against the run of play and we improved. I’m a fan of zogbia but can’t believe people are saying he did well yesterday. His crossing in the first half hr was embarrassing he kept on over hitting or under hitting free kicks and crosses. I watched about 15 mins of second half then dozed of so can only comment on first 15 mins. Where we looked comfortable without ever looking we were going to score again. Last half hr no idea what happened tbh.

And we won!! And we kept a clean sheet! And we are unbeaten in 3 pre season games. And Zoggy as been out for a year…and we beat a team at its peak in their mid season!! And we are only warming up!

Top 10 finish if we sign Ki, Bendtner (or their equivalent)!!
            Bring it on……..

A couple more signings? Ki, possibly a LB. Couple means 2. Although I still see a striker coming in.

Ki….he would be a very good addition in my opinion. I had a feeling that he was only put on hold until Swansea got their replacements (as they now have). I am not sure what happened to the Bendtner link as he would also be a good signing IMO. Perhaps there are second thoughts on that one as both Kozak and Benteke appear to be recovering quicker than exoected. We would certainly have some firepower if we do add a proven striker to the squad.
Cant wait for the season to kick off….20 days and counting!
We WILL finish top 10 if we add Ki and Bendtner (or their equivalent).
……………..bring it on, the ‘R’ word will never again be heard in B6………… 🙂

Incog’s back! Claims we agreed a deal for Bendtner but his agent hot in his ear, told him to ask for more and there’s a stalemate over him.

Southampton officially contacted Villa over our valuation on Vlaar.

And that there will be movement this week.

I read that earlier. An awful speculative piece from a bloke that has no contact within the club!!!! Load of rubbish, and this stockbroker isn’t actually saying a single thing!
I still don’t think anything is happening on the sale of the club. We’d hear whispers…
On another note, I had a dream last night and we were bottom of the table after six games…:(

Might even make the naysayers for loans happy, as he has 0 future at Chelsea and if he does well enough, we could definitely end up signing him permanently. I’d still prefer Atsu but…. Moses wouldn’t be too bad.
