Villa – West Ham; Worried is the only word

I said in the replies midweek that I had no faith in the Villa as a team at the moment.
After a few days nothing has changed and even though West Ham are rooted to the bottom of the table on no points and not even having scored a goal, it means nothing to me.
We all know that if you’re a club that’s seriously out of form, Aston Villa will accomodate you and hand you all the points with minimal effort.
In fact it happens with such alarming regularity, that it’s probably the one thing that really annoys me about the club. Well, that and always losing to Man Utd, that is.

I have to be honest, I hardly care which side we put out, hence the squad matters very little.
That’s what Gerrard’s football has done to me I’m afraid.
When, oh when will we get a genuinely good manager, that can manage our great club, genuinely improve players in the way Pep and Klopp do and get us consistently challenging for things?

Apologies, I’m just thinking out loud, but I’ll bet it’s something we’ve all done at some time or another. It’s just so annoying isn’t it?

So we have to go with what we have and it’s the totally uninspiring Gerrard picking god knows who.

We don’t have any new issues and neither do West Ham as far as I can see.

This is a short preview, simply because I don’t really know what to say.
If we scrape a win, it’s probably the minimum we should have got against a team that’s obviously out of sorts, not scored a goal and conceded five in three games.
And if we lose, will it really be a big surprise?
Not for me and the only thing it would see is Gerrard closer to the exit door which contrary to what you may think, is definitely something I don’t want to see, because it means we’ll be slipping down the table with really tough games coming up.
In fact when you look at the next couple of fixtures, this game should probably be classed as the equivalent of a behind closed doors friendly.

I don’t want to predict a defeat, so I’m going to sit on the fence and go for a 1-1 draw.

Actually, I’d put a bet on it, but it turns out my Bet365 account has been audited (after several weeks) and they’ve decided to close my account and give me my money back. I think it’s something to do with the fact that the money can’t be proved as safe under the money laundering laws.
All £90 of it. You have to laugh, I suppose.

Yet again it’s a torrid time to be a Villa fan.
I was actually wondering the other day, which Birmingham club has really got that Gypsy curse.

I’ve just heard on WM that Bednarek hasn’t started today. Expect to see him in, in the next couple of days.

Lose on Weds and surely Gerrard has to be shown the door? Before it’s too late. Get Poch in FFS. Pay him what he wants. Gerrard out!

Gerrard is the English Lambert. He’s terrified because he’s realised he’s way out of his depth. So he resorts to dire ‘possession football’ so he can pretend Villa dominated when being beaten to nil due to being void of ideas. “It’s on me.” You’re damn right it is. Gerrard out. Please!

At least Lambeth could use the excuse he was operating on a shoe string, what’s Gerrard’s excuse?

    Bournemouth away. 0 points
    Palace away. 0 points
    West Ham home. 0 points

A serious PL team wins all those. We should be joint top with maximum points with those fixtures. No one can persuade me otherwise.

Poch will do with Archer what he did with Kane. I’m convinced this guy has ‘it’. But Gerrard persists with the tried and failed.
    POCHETTINO IN. GERRARD OUT!

Sawiris and Edens please act before it’s too late!

BFR – I can’t think of a single player that Gerrard has improved since he and his team arrived. Rather the opposite he’s making decent players look poor.

I can’t stand the man and I want him gone out of our club now.

I’m going to follow OLL’s bomb squad approach – I’m not watching any more games until he’s gone.

At the moment I’d take anyone other than Gerrard.

PS – and he can take Purslow with him.

No width, because we refused to play Traore who scored 8 goals in his first season or El Ghazi who scored 11 the same year. Gerrard continues to want to play his way, but fails to see it won’t work without his midfield enforcer. Possible bottom 2 worst manager I’ve seen at Villa in 35 years of supporting. The only thing he does is talk a good game because everything going on the pitch, we look devoid of confidence, ideas or game plan.

The treatment of Traore, El Ghazi and Trez was scandalous. These guys made serious contributions in struggling promotion sides. Traore has breathtaking talent. El Ghazi was the best finisher at the club according to Grealish. That Gerrard dumped them and didn’t even try to harness their talent tells you everything about him as a coach. How we could use their creativity now!

Two more defeats coming up this week to make it 5 out of 6 and bottom of the league. The board and CEO have a duty to react. There is nothing there to suggest Gerrard will come good. Nothing. He started well but that was a long long time ago. He’s clearly lost his players and the board must act. I would move heaven and earth to get Poch in before Citeh at VP on Saturday; his rivalry with Pep will be a perfect spark to start at VP. It’s only going to get worse. NSWE please act to revive our ailing club. GERRARD OUT!

Gerrard has lost the dressing room that’s clear.

A good manager knows how to get the best out of players by having a game plan that plays to their strengths. Gerrard has no idea how to do that because he’s fixated on himself.

Pedestrian football devoid of ideas with the same old players who continually fail to impress.
It’s not just the start to this season but the way we finished last season once the honeymoon period ended.
Gerrard OUT and I beg the owners go for Potter with everything they can offer or Pochettino if that’s not possible.
